Could the world be on the brink of a Glenn Beck Caliphate from his Caliphlower brain?
I am reminded of a similar case of local Right-wing lunacy down here in Dumbutt.
Houston once had a very popular morning show which became the blueprint for morning drive rock-shock radio called Moby in the Morning. He had a sidekick named Jon Matthews. By the 1990’s Moby was gone and Matthews became the premier local Right-wing talk show host in Houston.
His racism was always poorly hidden, his bigotry proudly expressed and his visceral nastiness trumped only by his promotion of guns and violence. He lead an armed march on the highways from Houston to Austin because Texas gun laws had created a Texas Socialist State. Like Glenn Beck he was over the top but riding high down here on the Houston golf courses mixing with the energy companies who control the politics of Houston and Texas.
One day there was a knock on his door, it was an 11 year old neighbor girl who heard he had a new puppy and she wanted to see it. Matthews answered the door in his underwear, sat on the floor so his genitals were exposed to the girl, then rose and dropped his underwear to the floor and said "Whoops!" His defense was that the girl looked far older than 11! Maybe 14! That was also the same argument his Christian audience used to defend him. He was tried, convicted and put on probation in 2004. Three years later he was sentenced to three years in prison for breaking probation by excessive drinking and going online to describe having sex with a 3 year old boy – from a strippers point of view. I would guess there have now been perhaps a dozen instances of Beck Mouth that would have gotten Glenn Beck fired from any respected news organization. So it seems content will never bring him down as his boss Roger Ailes is no slouch claiming NPR is a NAZI organization filled with NAZIS. That’s the guy who runs Fox News! where is that quote now.. Here it is.
"They are, of course, Nazis. They have a kind of Nazi attitude. They are the left wing of Nazism." Fox News President Roger Ailes on what he thinks of National Public Radio.
