There are two issues here. First that meaningless Pro Life issue that a fertilized egg is alive. OF COURSE ITS ALIVE, as are trees, mosquitoes, maggots and Ted Nugent. That is not the point. The bottom line is whose legal, civil and human right’s prevail, sexually mature women or zygotes? People or potential people?
The second issue is how utterly illogical Evangelical Christianity has become regarding this ugly political ad by Mike Huckabee. This Fox News Arkansas preacher can with a straight face, say that denying gays the same rights as anyone else, or giving women a CHOICE to have an abortion is enhancing FREEDOM and LIBERTY. It is NON SENSE. NONSENSE. And everyone, EVERYONE, not just Jon Stewart, or Stephen Colbert, or Bill Maher should stand up and yell NONSENSE when the NON SENSE reaches these levels of absurdity. Since Ronald Reagan teamed up with Jerry Falwell, Jesus Christ has become the purveyor of guns, hate, intolerance, bigotry, executions, war and ignorance. AND IT PISSES ME OFF. Hell, before Reagan and Falwell teamed up abortion was not the defining issue it is today. Protestant Americans were the movement behind legalizing abortion. Before 1973 there were a million dirty filthy illegal and self induced abortions a year. My God people, get a grip!
And… AND! Anytime one of these intolerant nitwits decries gay marriage or abortion while in the same breath says anything about the horrors of big government intrusion, grab them, but them in a headlock and give then a KNUCKLE RUBBIE. That’s what is needed in this country, a more active roll in face to face politics by giving knuckle rubbies and finger snaps to the nose.
I am a it more animated about this because guess who is leading the GOP pack for the Presidential Nominee for 2016? Mike Huckabee. The Republican party is going to go self introspective because of this election loss. YEAH RIGHT! Gimmie a break…
