"The erection from Fox News on this one can be seen from outer space!"
NPR responds like a wussy as do most all non Republican responses to most of anything these days. Well except in Wisconsin – where they lost no matter. The American electorate deserves the Koch Brothers in their bedrooms.
Of course the big mistake made by Ronald Schiller was equating "Christian" to "scary", "white" and "racist" no matter the truth of the matter. Somehow over the past generation here in American "Christian" has come to mean intolerant, bigoted, ignorant and Republican. The Right-wing has hijacked Jesus. And it’s disgusting.
But isn’t this much the same as what NPR fired Fox News Lackey Juan Williams for? Saying what he personally thought? Bu this time celebrated by Fox and Friends? There seems to be a double standard.
This incident will ensure an end to federal funding for NPR and PBS. Which in turn will cause many rural areas of American to have their access to media become 100% Right-wing swill rather than just the standard 95% of it. It will also mean NPR and PBS will have to increase their dependence upon corporate donations moving them away from independent reporting.
Here in Houston this has been the case for the more than 30 years. NPR has played classical music from 9am until 4 pm with none of their syndicated talk programs in between. NONE. ZERO. ZIP. Well unless you have HD RADIO in the past 2 years.
Here – in the soon to be second largest city in America – all talk radio is all Right-wing all the time.
Why does Houston NPR refuse to put any substance into their daily programming?
Because it is sure to upset their primary sponsors down here in Dumbutt, the oil and gas companies who promote pollution and deny climate change. After all, NPR often interviews smart people who are scientists and college professors and literary giants rather than Joe the Plumber and Lindsay Lohan.
