Jon Stewart Rapenuts, Al Frankin,Halliburton and the GOP

In 2005 Halliburton employee Jamie Leigh Jones was drugged and gang raped by fellow Halliburton employees in her bedroom in Iraq’s Green Zone. After she reported it to Halliburton they locked her up in a container. She was not allowed to take legal or criminal action against Halliburton because she signed an employment clause saying if raped she would not go beyond private arbitration.

Senator Al Franken of Minnesota found this clause not only a bit disconcerting but awfully disgusting so he submitted a simple straight forward amendment that requires government contractors to no longer force employees to sign contracts saying they would not take action if they got raped. It passed 68 to 30.

So WHAT KIND OF PEOPLE would be FOR government contracts containing such a clause? Well for starters there would be Halliburton and 30 United States Senators who ALL happen to be Republicans. We can also easily project that would include our 2009 Summer of Hate Tea Baggers, Birthers, Radio talk show hosts, Fox News, George Will and I suppose Dick Cheney who while CEO of Halliburton may have personally added the clause to help his resume.

But why allow a company we taxpayers support do such a disgusting thing? Well it’s the KIND OF PEOPLE Republicans and Libertarians are.

As Senator Sessions so well stated it is not the job of congress to pass laws concerning the federally funded private sector. That is true for Republicans unless of course it’s a black run private sector organization who had 4 employees give some bad advice to a pimp and a ho. OH MY GOD! And they received almost $10 million of our money to help inner city poverty which was taken away in literally hours after made public. Nothing has been said about the billions we give Halliburton.

To a Republican, bad advice from Negroes is far worse than gang rape. It is the nature of the Beast.
