We know by now that nothing is ever Rush Limbaugh’s fault. That said, it is still unclear how he is pinning his own vile treatment of Sandra Fluke and obfuscation of the Blunt Bill onto liberals, but that is the direction he is headed in a last ditch effort to clear himself.
Sponsors and radio stations continue to pull their sponsorship of Limbaugh, who pulls down $50 MILLION dollars a year for his ‘comedy’ show/leadership of the GOP. You may recall that Limbaugh’s foray into television was cut short when he couldn’t curb racist remarks on ESPN. He has enjoyed free rein to disparage women and children in the public eye, but college student Sandra Fluke may be his Waterloo.
Peter Gabriel whose song "Sledgehammer" is heard in the now infamous tirade against fluke has demanded that his music be removed from Limbaugh’s program. In a statement on Facebook, Gabriel’s spokesperson wrote (in part)
"Peter was appalled to learn that his music was linked to Rush Limbaugh’s extraordinary attack on Sandra Fluke. It is obvious from anyone that knows Peter’s work that he would never approve such a use. "He has asked his representatives to make sure his music is withdrawn and especially from these unfair aggressive and ignorant comments."
