London Police pull the plug on Springsteen McCartney Concert

Here we go again. Authorities pulled the plug on not only the two biggest stars in the music business, but the two biggest stars playing together in front of 60,000 fans. They did so because the wealthy residents living adjacent to Hyde Park had laws passed to protect them from horrible noises! You know like The Beatles and The Boss. Pretty much GETTING BACK to greatest music video of all time when in 1970 the London police shut down the last time the Beatles played live on that roof in London.

It is not only the Brits who are so woefully out of touch in these matters, as I witnessed the same here back in 1972. At Milwaukee Summerfest which has no residents anywhere near the venue, the Summerfest frontman that year, Green Bay Packer linemen Henry Jordan, came out on the stage while THE DOORS were doing Roadhouse BLues and pulled the plug.  With the only mic that worked he said, “Its 11pm and time to go home, drive safely!” There were boos and paper beer cup throwing, and suddenly the gates opened up and hundreds of police in riot gear began smashing heads and hauling hundreds off to jail.  This happened a few hours after Milwaukee police jumped on the same stage and hauled George Carlin off to jail for saying the 7 dirty words.  The whole story of Rack Jite in jail with George Carlin
