What is so unique about this is that it spans 90 years with no change. The actual Scopes Monkey Trail against evolution was in 1925 starring Christian populist William Jennings Bryant and the top liberal lawyer of the time, Clarence Darrow, with H. L. Mencken representing the press. 35 years later came the movie Inherit the Wind with Fredric March, Spencer Tracy and Gene Kelley playing the lead roles using much of the dialog from the actual court transcripts.
We recently had the same debate on TV this year with Ken Ham and Bill Nye taking the opposing parts. And now once again, we have Mike Huckabee as the lead player playing the same silly crap to the same silly people. Who by so doing, may very well win both the Iowa Caucus and the South Carolina primary. Never doubt the intelligence of the American voter.
And what is the only common denominator I can find between Iowa and South Carolina? OMG. They are the top two pig producers in America. It’s breathing all that pigpoop in the air that is the problem.
Oh no, my bad. It’s “North” Carolina that is second, South Carolina is like 23rd. Gee, and there for a minute I had the most likely answer to stupid. But wait, are not the prevailing winds blowing down from North Carolina to South Carolina? The same prevailing wind that may blow the fumes from Iowa up into that district in Minnesota that kept electing Michele Bachmann. Wait! Minnesota is third in hog production!
