For Jimmy Kimmel’s 50th birthday, celebrities surprised him by reading Mean Tweets about him, a chore that isn’t always easy. I suspect the crude and hostile tweets are written largely by Trump supporters who do not appreciate Jimmy’s jokes and comments about the presidential administration – but who watch the show avidly. Quite understandably, these viewers are incensed that Jimmy does not adhere to the same stringent journalistic standards as Fox and Friends while reverently speaking of Donald Trump.
There is a wide-ranging list of celebrities on hand to read the tweets. In fact, everyone in Jimmy’s sphere pitched in, with the exception of Matt Damon. Do you suppose he participated in another way – perhaps by tweeting?!
