In a follow up to the successful run of Kings of Comedy where top black comedians traveled together to do live shows, Bill Maher and Michael Moore are in the first steps of doing the same, four comedians to do shows on atheism and silly religion through the Bible Belt.
Of course this being the most Christian gun area of America the cost of security could fail to make the deal viable. In fact atheist comedians contacted have so far refused out of either economic or violence fears.
I’m not sure atheism is the way to go. I had an epiphany the other day watching Joel Osteen for a full hour. Aside from telling his audience most everything I knew by the time I was nine, I look at that crowd of 15,000 at the old Summit where I saw ACDC a half dozen times and think wow, I have nothing in common with those people at all. Joel Osteen then threaded the needle for me on that difference.
Those 15,000 people are hopeless sinners while I am not. If it were not for Jesus and their God fearing, those 15,000 people would not be in church but rather out creating havoc stealing, robbing, raping, cheating, hating and killing the rest of us. So thank the lord.
Indeed, I am not a sinner in thought or deed. I have never hit anyone, never cheated, stolen, have no hate in my heart or wish harm to anyone. My only sin is lying about the size of my wife’s butt. It is very small. But wait, it is now suppose to be small?
