A group of Muslims are being hailed as heroes after they shielded Christian passengers from al-Shabaab militants who attacked their bus in Mandera, Kenya on December 21st. Muslim passengers gave head scarves to the female Christian passengers, and refused orders to separate into groups of Muslims and Christians, to save their own lives at the expense of the Christians on board.
The ambush, by Somali-based group al-Shabaab, failed. Militants left after being faced with the courageous show of unity. Kenyan Muslims reportedly told the radical group to ‘kill us together or leave us alone.’
Peace on earth, and goodwill to all men.
