“Here’s a couple Trump Towers for you Stephen,” says natural born cheesehead Donald Trump after teaching Colbert about the real size of numbers. Speaking of numbers, whenever you hear anyone, media or politician cry about big number in trillions of debt, that is playing the same game The Donald is playing here with numbers. “TRILLION” is new and big, but the debt and deficit is not that much worse than it has been since The Ronald, and without the George Bush Recession, it is less than it has been under Republican administrations. These numbers should always be expressed in percentages of GNP past and present whether it be debt, deficit, or taxes.
Here is how both debt should be framed, in percentage of GNP, as should any graph rather than the hyperbole of BIG NUMBERS.
As you see if one were to remove the Republican Recession and give President Obama a couple years to deal with it, this administration has upped the debt far less than Ronald Reagan, GH Bush or George W Bush, with the brightest spot in reducing the debt when Bill and Hillary Clinton had the White House.
Supply side economics tripled the debt under Reagan and doubled it under W. Bush, and who has been the guru of Supply Side from Reagan until today, the moderate one, John Kascish.
Speaking of the so called Republican moderate John Kasich from 2001 until 2009 was a commentator on Fox News Channel, hosting Heartland with John Kasich while he worked as managing director for investment banker Lehman Brothers from 2001 to 2009. And we kick the crap out of Hillary for just making a speech at Lehman Brothers when Kasich is Lehman Borthers?
