Here again I have to part ways with Bill Maher, for this self esteem issue with children is a subset of political correctness, that it is indeed doing the wise and right thing to help kids on the way, but backlash from the stupid and wrong does make for quite a bit of political harm. This also brings up something I am sure we all have experienced in many of our friends and acquaintances, like Bill Maher they have no kids because they don’t like kids, at all. And the airplane seat kicking? Come on, how long could that possible last? Lean forward for a minute. Or when it happened to me once in a thousand flights, I took that long plastic “exit the plane” flyer and stuck it between the seats behind me and played grab it if you can with the kids and made a friend.
Teaching self esteem to children has been studied [oh the horror] endlessly by educators[unionists], psychologists[idiots], sociologists[communists] and even scientists[morons], who all find that self esteem plans have very positive effect on children. Well sans the bullies. But looking back at your childhood, how many bullies were there? I can name two. Both of whom ended up as RNC activists.
I am rather big, but I grew up small and skinny and was always picked on, picked last and never got a sports award or a trophy and look what happened to me, here I am writing unpopular kickback politics for a nickel an hour.
