This is the very first in a series of entertaining spots by multi talented actor and man’s man, Nick Offerman…Who also frequents the home handyman dreams of many a lass. The Scottish company Diageo wisely chose to bring Offerman to the birthplace of their fine single malt whiskeys. You may be familiar with Lagavulin and Oban. In the misty Scottish countryside, Nick poses near picturesque ruins, and does manly things while singing of his love for the whisky.
Actually, he sings, when he’s not putting down his guitar to pick up the whisky. Is there an instrument you can truly play while sipping? Oh, by the way, purists claim that ‘whisky’ is the proper way to spell it in Scotland. Sorry grammar and spelling nazis, I’ll give you plenty of other fodder soon.
As the song progresses, we learn that our traveling minstrel loves many things, but he simply can’t do justice to them – and the whisky . Even riding his lovely horse ‘Flower’ is best done without the Scottish jet fuel on board.
I’m certain there is a message here, which I’ll leave for you to interpret. It was a lovely ride, and they promise us more surprises soon.
