Gold: Don Blankenship, CEO of Massey Energy and Joe Main, Head of the Federal Mine Safety and Health Administration. Blankenship has been named "The First Scariest Polluter in America" and the "Seventh Scariest Person." He has also been described as "An evil bastard"in 2006, long before today’s information was revealed.
With credentials like these, it’s not surprising that Blankenship was the operator of the Upper Big Branch Mine in Virginia, where 29 miners lost their lives last year. A recent discovery proves that collusion between today’s winners hid the reason for the explosion, and holds the key to other disasters to come.
Silver: Glenn Beck has been telling and re-telling the tale of the harrowing and hate-filled evening he and his family endured at New York’s Bryant Park. There were liberals, slopping wine on them, slavering and circling like wild hyenas! "It was the equivalent of a lynching!" Uh Oh! This just in, the accused have come forward. To say that the discrepancy between the Beck tale, and that of the ‘liberals’ whose blanket abutted his, is a bit of an overstatement – or fantasy, in the real world. It’s clear that Glenn Beck did not expect his scapegoats to find their way to the media today, turning the incident into a mundane and accidental encounter. This is simply further evidence of the multiple planes of existence which merge in Beck’s head.
Bronze: Bristol Palin, author. If you are looking for a literary selection for your summer book club discussion, on sale – it’s up to you, of course. Palin the Younger’s book "Not Afraid of Life" is holding steady near the bottom. When she comes out with "Not Afraid of Mother" perhaps it will be worth picking up on the dollar rack.
