Gold!: This award goes to State Sen. Sylvia Allen, R-Ariz. She is seen in a hearing for the Retirement and Rural development. Originally meant to discuss the impact of possible uranium mining, her reasons for it aren’t exactly based upon facts, but as her speech goes on we see facts are not her stock in trade.
Thank the Godess that Sylvia was there to put some perspective on matters. Who knows where it would have ended had she not pointed out that the earth is six thousand years old, and has survived just fine all this time without any
environmental laws n’ such! Watch Keith as he recounts more of her statements, then points out the real irony of the evening!
Silver: Sen. James Imhoff R – Oklahoma! where the winds come sweeping through Imhoff’s ears…feel free to sing along, or not. The Senator feels that it is his duty to point out that Al Franken has the appearance of a clown! After all, he is an "admitted clown." Do you suppose he’s speaking of the excellent political satire Franken has written? Sen. Imhoff – that was the whooshing sound over the top of your head. As far as looks in general, I can only assume that Imhoff has
never gazed into a mirror. Al would beat him in the talent and bathing suit competitions as well, Mr. Congeniality goes without saying. 🙂
Bronze: Step right up, blogger/ hypocrite Rossputin. Most recently he published a screed in freedomworks.com excoriating those who worked for companies who use
lobbyists, like Citygroup, AIG, and GM to name a few. There isn’t room to repeat the horrible creatures who would lobby or work for them! Watch Worst Persons in the World, to see how instant karma just bit freedomworks and rossputin in the
behind. I cannot give it away – as I’m always tempted to do, but a certain former house majority leader now lobbies full time and is the chairman of a company extremely near and dear to both rossputin and freedomworks. 😉
