A better headline would have been… Unarmed Americans ask armed Americans to stop shooting them. I wonder where it will happen next week? How many need to be shot for it to make national news? Reading the Houston Chronicle everyday there are lots of 2’s and 3’s that never get any attention. But then again they are not at schools, malls, movie theaters and churches. They all seem to be outside clubs or in apartment complex parking lots. The shooters and victims all seem to be named Carlos or Elroy… Not a day passes without a few. I hear Chicago is even worse.
Oh sure, there are only about 30 gun deaths a day, counting suicides that it is about 70. But how many non lethal shootings are their per day. Ah I just looked it up! 75,000 non lethal, 10,000 lethal plus 12,000 suicides. That’s about 300 gun shootings a day! I wonder how many have health insurance? About NONE I would guess.
