Update: Gun enthusiast Chris Mercer who killed 9 in Oregon and wounded 7 more the other day had six guns with him at the school and another 8 guns at home for a total ownership of 14 guns. About average for a typical NRA gun enthusiast. Speaking of mental health issues, needing 14 guns is at the top of the list.
There are of course good cops and quite a few bad cops we know are bullies who are in it to push people around, who are stupid, who are racists, who shoot first and talk later and like Sheriff Joe Arpaio in New Mexico is all of that with the added fun of being the top elected right-wing lunatic in America. With apologies to Ted Cruz.
We are now aware of another Sheriff who may just out Arpaio Joe Arpaio with Douglas County Sheriff John Hanlin. Though unlike Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Hanlin has not been indicted numerous times.
Meet Sheriff John Hanlin who is in charge of the recent Oregon mass shooting investigation. Let us begin with his angry letter to Vice President Joe Biden in 2013 immediately following the Sandy Hook slaughter of over twenty children under the age six:
“Any gun restrictions from your administration would be irresponsible and an indisputable insult to the American people which my deputies would refuse to enforce.” Douglas County seems to have reaped what it sows.
As to shooting first and talking second this cute graphic was posted by Oregon Sheriff John Hanlin even before he thumbed his nose at the Federal government.
Being from Oregon, Sheriff John Hanlin doesn’t have the same “wetback problem” Sheriff Arpaio has so Hanlin dispenses his bigotry toward Muslims rather than Mexicans with this link to Bikers versus Muslims. Note that the 800,000 bikers who took to the road to show their bigotry of Muslims did not ride to Iraq or Syria to do anything about the real problem, they just rode around drinking beer, selling crank, prostituting their old ladies and shooting each other.
And of course the coup de grace, Sheriff John Hanlin posted this video on his Facebook page contending that the Sandy Hook school massacre killing 20 children under the age of six was orchestrated and carried out by Barack Obama and the Federal Government as a ploy to batter down doors to take everyone’s gun away.
