If you’ve glimpsed any of the ‘mom & daughter reality shows’ it can’t have escaped your attention that it’s all really about the moms – who are living vicariously through their children. For this reason, I’d personally like to see the kids ( or ‘mini-mes’ left out of it entirely and the moms compete in the spotlight, against one another. As one mom tells her daughter, honestly in Prom Moms: “Listen baby, you’re the reason mommy missed the prom the first time around, don’t screw it up for me again!” The Prom, really… Who remembers that night?
Yes America, every child who truly wants to be in a dance recital, a beauty pageant, rodeo court or be the center of attention should have their moment in the spotlight – even if it takes 40 years…But no younger, cuter substitutions allowed!
