The Prophet of Drama Glenn Beck, replete with robe and crooked staff, will have much to offer a little theater group one day…So much indeed that it isn’t fair that he cannot devote full-time to his theatrical pursuits. It is my fervent hope that sponsors and viewers alike will speed him along to that ultimately fulfilling career.
Beck and his shills in the front row agree that the Egyptian mess is due to a religious theocracy, and the solution is elementary Dear Watson, first: their government must become a Democracy. Secondly, it cannot be any old Democracy. It must be one without the bothersome bits about keeping church and state separate. Those poor lost souls must be turned to Christianity, so that they too may enjoy the freedom of a Christian Theocracy, just as we do – if as I suspect, in their minds, it is all but a fait accompli.
Mind, this is not a jab at Christianity by any means, I do not think of Glenn Beck when I think of sincere Christians. When the Founding Dads envisioned the question arising. They were under the thumb of Great Britain and the Anglican Church, and had the vision to see that bad people would use any religion to control people and make a general balls-up of government. I doubt their vision extended this far, or they would have been more explicit, and double spaced the document for clarity.
