You better read this book or you will be shot. Which is about what it takes these days to get most anyone to actually read a book. I just finished another great tome in my quest to read the top 100 books of all time. I am at 68 with now having now under my belt the story of a life ruined by a toboggan. It’s cold and dreary up there in New Hampshire, let me tell you.
BTW, after a dozen tries I still cannot get past page 17 of the greatest book of all time. If I want to hear a drunken Irish couple screaming at each other I can just go out for a beer on St Patrick’s day.
I finished the Great Gatsby the other day. Never bothered with any of the movies so I had no idea it was a DUI hit and run and subsequent vigilante justice. THEN comes the shallow excesses of the wealthy.
