Religion, a wolf in sheep clothing

Religion, a wolf in sheep clothing

Of course this cartoon came from Australia, this kind of thing is not allowed in our mainstream press.

Down here in Dumbutt, Texas we have a big religious brouhaha going on. A cadre of anti-gay Houston preachers tried to stop a city ordinance giving gay and transgender people equal access to city functions by trying to get enough signatures to put it on the ballot come November 4th. They failed in that most of the signatures were deemed invalid for various reasons.

That lead the anti-gay community of Christian bigots to take the issue to court. This in turn resulted in Houston lesbian Mayor Annise Parker and city lawyers asking for subpoenas to make public these preachers sermons. Of course Ted Cruz is leading the fight against this attack upon not only freedom of religion but freedom of speech, and from local articles and letters to the Editor it seems most everyone is very upset about this and are buying even more guns than last year.

I wonder why these Christian Preachers do not want anyone to see or hear the sermons they are so proud of giving each and every Sunday?  What could it be they don’t want heard? I would think they would be proud to get their word out preaching their politics and religious beliefs.

You know what their argument comes down to? These white and black preachers don’t want men dressed up as women taking a dump in women’s toilets. So, they would rather have men dressed as women taking a dump in men’s toilets. And of course they don’t want women dressed up as men taking a leak in men’s toilets but rather in women’s toilets. That’s the argument believe it or not. But what they really want is to keep gays, lesbians and transgender people from taking a leak or a dump ANYWHERE in Houston. I guess they figure if they are forced to hold it in they it will build up and they will suffer a spontaneous explosion of fecal matter, and deservedly so!.

There is an endless stream of articles on this, here is one from a bigoted point of view Houston subpoenas pastors’ sermons in gay rights ordinance case
