It is way past time for CNN to sell Lou Dobbs to Fox News where he belongs. I wonder if there is even one Hispanic left in America who has not deleted CNN from the favorites button on their remote. His daily hour 7 days a week may be the highest rated show CNN enjoys besides Larry King, but his all consuming campaign of ethnic cleansing – though very popular with every bigot, racist and racist group in America – is losing CNN credibility as it tries to out fox, FOX.
Dobbs uses the the standard canard of RULE OF LAW to rationalize what is now America’s form of ethnic cleansing. The same Rule of Law that gave us slavery and Jim Crow for centuries. The same Rule of Law which Republicans used to put us through the most embarrassing year in American history with that impeachment. The same Rule of Law which has filled our prisons to bursting with mandatory sentencing, three strikes your out and the failed War on Drugs. Now it is Lou Dobbs using the same Rule of Law to make those on the very bottom of our economic ladder as miserable as he possibly can.
Like the Gestapo before it, ICE, a federal police force specifically formed to crash into homes and workplaces to grab people of one specific ethnicity. To drag them out into vans and put into concentration camps – whole families, men, women and children – charge them with felony-paperwork, and ship out on trains and buses. Can’t anyone see the parallel? What is the matter with everyone? Conservative GOD Ronald Reagen’s answer to this problem in 1986 was to use his bully pulpit to push, pass and sign a bill giving them ALL Green Cards! We are now ten miles to the right of Ronald Reagan on this issue?
Tom Trancedo will soon drop out of the Republican Presidential race which will leave Lou Dobbs and CNN as America’s leading voice in rounding up 12 million men women and children to be placed in prisons for unspecified periods of time, charged with felonies for lack of paperwork and deported. Is there one sane Jew in America who doesn’t get this?
And sadly this will be the defining issue of the coming election after the conventions. And even more sadly, it is the only winning issue the Republicans have.
