The Bush Administration is over, they do not matter one wit. It is
the mad Republican elephant in the room that is the problem, the direct
cause of war, recession and unemployment. It is that elephant that needs
to be branded as the rogue animal it is.
Conservatives are
experts at this branding business, so much so that the word "liberal"
– meaning tolerance – was forced out of use a generation ago as a dirty
word. The Lword was joined with the class of such words as the Nword, and
the Fword. Today we are forced to use the word "progressive" because it
does not contain that hated aspect of "tolerance" which has been
declared obscene in American politics.
The present generational branding by
Republicans has successfully branded Democrats as Socialists while
political correctness has over the years branded all on the left as finger waving
intolerant nazies.
This success of branding is why oh so sensitive country club Republicans play so well to rural ignorance,
religious intolerance and all this racial and ethnic bigotry going on at
present. It is why they win elections. They play to the stupid and being that most people are mostly stupid, its a win win for Republicans.
The branding that needs to be done now concerns the reality of what has
happened to the Republican Party since the Muslim black man from Kenya stole the White House.
There is no longer any difference between conservative,
Right-wing, religious Right, talk radio, Fox News and the GOP. It has
all become the same ugly pile of crap.
