Reminds me of a KEEP IT 100 piece in Larry Wilmore’s Nightly Show when he asked Amy Holmes – Black Conservative woman news anchor for Glenn Beck’s THE BLAZE TV – if she too would have sat on her hands as the Republican congress did at the SOFTU address when President Obama said, “Women should get equal pay for equal work.”.
The only surprise to her expected YES answer was she did not have to think about it, her YES came before Larry even finished the question.
That has always been something I have been failed to understand. How some African Americans and gays and so many women and working class Americans can put aside their own self interest for the ideology of giving the wealthy a hand and everyone else the finger.
Sure I can understand those who suck up to the religious intolerance and bigotry side of things, but poking yourself in the eye just for an ideology of FK YOU? It must be something so deep down that it’s hard to see knock knock knocking at the a whole door. Let it go, let it go…
