What a banner week for the Republican Party! HOLY HOCKEYLOCKERS!
We find in Massachusetts that the American CENTER will take George W. Bush over Barack Obama. Americans can relate to slow witted pickup trucks far better than they can anyone smarter than they are. It is also a reminder that all Republicans have to do to get elected is screech on about TERROR & TAXES and Americans grab their wallets, poop their pants and pull a straight GOP ticket in the booth.
Scott Brown was named "41" by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell the day after his big win. The nickname in praise of making sure everyone understands that Republicans will not allow nothing to be done while there is a Magic Negro is in the White House.
Two days later the Supreme Court up ended 100 years of precedent with the most important case since Roe v Wade going to the Republicans. Landmark Supreme Court ruling allows corporate political cash
Democracy has been officially and legally replaced by Marketocracy.
The five Republicans on the court again voted their politics (as they did in Bush v Gore in 2000), this time allowing corporations to put unlimited money into our election process. Not only is campaign finance reform over, it has been laughed out of existence by the Supreme Court. We will now have a system of election bribery to an extreme never imagined anywhere else in the civilized world.
"The Supreme Court has given a green light to a new stampede of special interest money in our politics. It is a major victory for big oil, Wall Street banks, health insurance companies and the other powerful interests that marshal their power every day in Washington to drown out the voices of everyday Americans." President Barack Obama.
And this from the US Chamber of Commerce is only the beginning…
"The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, which spent $36 million on ads and get-out-the-vote activities in 2008, pledged this week to organize the largest, most aggressive election campaign in its history targeting congressional Democrats who support Obama administration proposals to overhaul health insurance and the financial system and limit carbon emissions."
All any corporation has to do now is single out one Democrat promoting something beneficial to people rather than corporations, pour millions into the that race in television ads to destroy that one congressman and the rest will fall in line.
Newt Gingrich said yesterday that this decision is a big win for the Middle Class. It is often amazing how dishonest Republicans can be and still keep a straight face.
Not only is cap and trade dead, but with the money Exxon Mobil has, Climate Change can OFFICIALLY become a hoax.
The GOP not only breeds fear, it generates it.
And to top it off, at 9am yesterday the President took to the microphones to say he would take on the bankers and Wall Street and was proud of it. The banker and Wall Street managed a 250 point sell off to show him who was boss.
We have officially arrived at a new form of government, the Marketocracy, which allows corporations, banks and Wall Street do whatever they wish to whomever they wish as long as they wish.
I heard Rudy Giuliani the other day on Morning Joe say that any taxes or regulation on corporations, banks or bankers will increase unemployment and destroy American. Not one person in the room there disagreed.
And all of this is what the people of Massachusetts voted for!
Still not as bad as Novemeber 8th 1994 though, but almost…
