I believe it’s fair to say that Mika Brzezinski became entirely twitterpated when Russell Brand dropped by ‘Morning Joe.’ The calm, leggy Scarborough sidekick, Mika who is filling in while the boss is out, is known for her poised and often disapproving demeanor, not only lost her composure, but eventually her entire show as well. It’s fine. I’m certain he gave it back right away! She seemed beyond caring by the time he described what she was doing with the bottle she was clinging onto, with a sexual innuendo you’ll have to see!
Anchors on MSNBC’s ‘Morning Joe’ might have sensed they would lose control when Russell Brand opined that “Media distracts from real news by obsessing about superficial distractions.” They then inadvertently demonstrated that fact. At another point he commented that media often distorts the issue to fit a particular agenda. Oh but all of the fun places they went between these serious blips on the screen!
By the end, Mika was chugging mysterious liquids, the other pair were stunned silent, and Brand, obviously the only one with the presence of mind to carry on with the limping show, did just that, asking “Is this what you all do for a living?” Brand then took the news notes, and capably delivered the story of the NSA spying scandal and Bradley Manning.
