Leading 2016 Republican Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee tells us guns are not the problem, the problem is we do not force Christian religious indoctrination into our public school children.
“We ask why there’s violence in our school but we’ve systematically removed God from our schools. Should we be so surprised that schools have become such a place of carnage? That we’re not just gonna have to be accountable to the police if they catch us but one day we stand before a holy God in judgment. If we don’t believe that, then we don’t fear that. People are going to want to pass new laws, this is a heart issue, laws don’t change this kind of thing.” Fox News Christian Mike Huckabee on the Sandy Hook massacre of 20 children under 7.
“We don’t have a crime problem, or a gun problem, or even a violence problem. What we have is a sin problem, and since we’ve ordered God out of our schools and communities; the military and public conversations… we really shouldn’t act so surprised when all hell breaks loose.” Fox News Christian Mike Huckabee, after the Aurora, Colorado movie massacre.
Is there a group or a nation which lives by the gun coupled with religious indoctrination of their children? Which we consider EVIL enough to blow them to Hell? If the Taliban can be defined as evil, I’ll be damned if I can’t call this crap-for-brains Fox News Christian EVIL.
Fox News Christians are those who put their conservative politics, their guns, their race, their wealth and their anger above even the slightest concept of the who and what and how of Jesus Christ.
It is time not only to call out the NRA, which sadly has a 68% favorable rate [because so few take the time to learn about who they are and what they do.] But to also call out the horrid Fox News Christianity that dominates America. It has nothing more than a political arm for the Right-wing politics of intolerance, bigotry, ignorance, anger, hate, guns, war, violence and nothing at all to do with Jesus Christ or his message of ending violence, removing oneself from the circle of vengeance, to love one’s neighbor, to have compassion for the least of us, to include, accept, love and be nice.
