Who could ever forget Howard Dean’s ‘scream’ – it was the Rebel Yell which put an end to his presidential aspirations, the edited and replayed bit of enthusiasm which has turned him into a self described ‘professional media hater.’ Such is the power of the 24-hour news cycle.
Dean held nothing back when unleashing the harsh truth about the Tea Party, Republicans and Fox News. Speaking at Carnegie Mellon University in Pennsylvania Howard Dean compared Fox and MSNBC. Dean doesn’t deny that both are bias – as are newspapers. Bias is okay, but Fox knowingly broadcasts what is not true and defends it. "It is not a news organization, it is a very expensive, incredibly well-funded, right-wing propaganda organization."
By comparison, Dean says "the facts on MSNBC are true," and added that if a mistake is made, it is corrected. There is no comparison between the two networks despite protests from the "Fair and Balanced" Fox, which obviously needs a different moniker, "news network" isn’t a fair or balanced description.
