This is a timely piece as the debate rages on over second amendment rights in general, and the advisability of placing ‘armed, trained security personnel’ in schools and other public areas in particular. One such security guard was found this week, slumped over the wheel of his car and bleeding profusely. According to the Trinidad and Tobago Guardian, the 33-year-old accidently shot off his own penis. Ouch indeed! Adding insult to injury, the man is being charged with not having a license for the .38 caliber instrument of death and dismemberment. Lest you think this is a fluke, or something that could only happen outside of the good ol’ U.S.of A.- accidental gunshot wounds to the penis and testicles were reported in Florida, Arizona and Washington in the year 2012!
