Sesame Street salutes the political hit “House of Cards,” with their own political/ arithmetic thriller, called “House of Bricks” – co-starring ‘The Three Little Pigs’ as themselves. If you’re a fan of the hit show “House of Cards” you know that Frank Underwood is a cunning political animal, very much like Sesame Street’s Frank Underwolf. “House of Bricks” documents
Frank Underwolf’s quest for the solid brick White House, which he is convinced is his due. The spoof could just be a very clever lesson in simple subtraction, but leave it to Sesame Street to make the story work on two levels.
Many people in Washington say they’re for cutting the pork (or worse), but Underwolf is sincere. As he sees it, all that is standing between him and his goal are the pig’s houses. We watch him employ ruthless manipulation and windy brutality to blow their houses down. The unfortunate pigs are but homeless pawns and victims of Underwolf, – or are they?
Underwolf gains the Oval Office without a fight, but only as he is enjoying his victory, do the pigs serve up his just desserts!
