Seth Meyers takes a closer look at the prospective vice-presidential candidates for Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, and
while the media has launched into ‘Veepstakes’ speculation, both candidates are tight-lipped about potential picks. Seth’s report takes into consideration the fact that most president -veep combinations have traditionally been match ups between opposites age-wise, and sometimes policy-wise as well.
Hillary will only indicate that she is interested in picking a winner, despite ideological or personal compatibility.
I’m sorry to say it, Bernie supporters, but Seth believes we might grow to loathe the sight of Hillary and Bernie together. They would embody the cranky, bickering couple you don’t want in your row on an airplane. Admittedly they don’t present a dynamic picture together.
Someone else has the unenviable job of finding the yin to Donald’s yang. While Kasich, Cruz and Rubio have all just said no, and Chris Christie is still standing somewhere waiting to be asked to dance. I secretly hope that Gary Busey is available!
Seth asks if a country which lost its collective mind over an all-female ‘Ghost Busters’ is ready for a female team. If so, Hillary Clinton could do far worse than to pick Elizabeth Warren! As Seth reminded us, anyone who’s seen Hillary or Elizabeth Warren in front of a Senate Committee, knows – “They ain’t afraid of no ghosts!”
