I can’t remember when it was exactly, but I think it was around 2005 when the Castle Doctrine – which led to the Stand Your Ground laws – began to take hold. Back then I was writing articles saying it was really about painting targets on the back of black men and giving handing out NWORD hunting licenses, all seasons, no bag limits and no need for a federal stamps. But hey, the NRA, Fox News, talk radio, the Tea Party and Republicans tell us these laws have nothing to do with race. So that’s that. Kinda like denying evolution and global warming. If enough morons believe something then it must be true.
Maybe when this Michael Dunn character gets back out on the streets he and George Zimmerman (who sadly now tells us he is homeless) can make a bundle doing fight nights, to the death.
I heard Michael Dunn’s lawyer yesterday say that his client has only RECENTLY become kind of a racist after being locked up with a bunch of angry black men who don’t like him very much. After all, emptying his gun into a car full of young black men who were playing loud rap music at a gas station, killing one, then feeling a little peckish, going home for a snack and a good night’s sleep was done well before he became the jailhouse racist he is today.
Here in Texas if you can lure someone you don’t like onto your property and no one else is around, you can shoot them dead and it even if it does get to a Grand Jury, they will refuse to indict. Speaking of which, you do know that Grand Juries are picked and made up of political activists from whatever party controls the County. At least here in Texas, though I think that is standard most everywhere.
