You have had an attraction to Rand Paul because he says states should be able to make pot legal, though he also says pot is for losers. Well Rand Paul will be out of the picture any day now, so let’s talk about the Republicans who are still running. We need not bother with how the Republican Base candidates feel about it, go to jail.
Rather let’s talk about the so-called MODERATE Republicans running for the nomination. Marco Rubio and Chris Christie both are so aghast at the horrors of pot that they say if elected they will use the Federal Government to invade Colorado, Washington, Oregon and Alaska, close down all pot sales and make mass arrests. Jeb Bush campaigned against even medical marijuana in Florida and has not changed. John Kasich just last week campaigned against legalizing pot in Ohio in opposition to the legalization proposition that recently lost in his state.
Pot aside, Republicans also want to give you no help AT ALL with student loans or student loan debt. If Republicans take the White House the first thing they will do is overturn Obamacare and if you are under 26 you are on your own with health care. Republicans will also do all they can to cause as much pain as the can get away with toward gay men and women, transgender men and women, immigrants, Hispanics and African American communities. It is who the are. It is what the do.
