Guess which House member is sponsor of the "Light Bulb Freedom of Choice Act" which repeals federal compliance for light bulbs to be more energy efficient to keep us less dependent upon foreign oil? Think Minnesota. Or Airhead…
We here have used the new bulbs since they arrived, slowly replacing the old incandescent bulbs. At first the light was too white and then too yellow but now it’s just right. We have not replaced one in the years we began. There is still one drawback though. A very American thing. Turing the light on gives about 80% of its output, it takes as much as 4 seconds to arrive at 100%. We want it all and we want it now!
This is an example of why those of sound mind and body should ever vote for a Republican. It’s not just Daryl Issa and Peter King holding unAmerican activity committees, or Bush and Cheney starting expensive unfunded and unneeded wars but an ideology that must stop anything good, helpful or wise – only because liberals or scientists came up with the idea rather than God and Grover Norquist.
Good, wise, helpful and logical do not enter into Republican thought patterns as we can see here.
If one were to listen only to Fox News and Talk radio there would be no doubt at all to the overriding bottom line issue of the Republican Party. HATING ALL THINGS LIBERAL (or Progressive or Democrat or based on science.)
This of course causes a rewrite and update of the 5 Republican core values:
1) HATING ALL THING LIBERAL
2) I
3) ME
4) MY
5) MINE
