Stephen Colbert puts butter on his butter in the face of Norway butter shortage

Butter me this!  Last Tango in Paris. South Park Butter.  Butter or guns? Buttered buns. Butter You Butter You bet…

When I was a little boy in the diary state of Wisconsin, I would often ride down to the Illinois border with my Grandpa to buy margarine. On the way back I would be responsible for turning the margarine into butter. The margarine was white and came in one pound plastic bags with a dot of red die on the inside. One would press the dot and squish repeatedly until the white margarine turned golden. Gas was $.17 a gallon then so I guess it was a budget conscious success. With margarine being illegal in Wisconsin at the time, Colbert’s silliness with the issue was at one time very real right here in the USA USA USA.
