Stop and frisk only works on black people. For I can tell you that down here in Texas if it were tried on white people lots of cops would be shot on the spot. And the cops know it so they keep their distance.
This is an example of the dynamic that drives Republican politics. What if you were stopped and frisked? How would you feel? How would you react? What if it happened to you every time you went out? Or… What if you were pregnant and didn’t want a child? What if you were homeless? What if you were dragged away from your children and deported? Republicans just do not have the genetic wherewithal to get there on any of these things.
And if this is indeed biological in nature, which it seems to be, then wouldn’t it be bigoted and intolerant to accuse Republicans of being the a wholes they are? It’s almost as unfair as calling white Southerners racists when only about 75% of them are racists. Or calling gun enthusiasts ANGRY NUTJOBS when only about 95% of them are ANGRY NUTJOBS.
Texans votes for Obama 2008 and 2012: 43%
Texas black population: 12%
Texas Hispanic population: 37%
Help me with the math, I am horrible at it. But that must mean something.
Here is how Southern Whites voted for Obama, the national number of Whites voting for Obama is 44%
Alabama 10%
Arkansas 30%
Georgia 23%
Louisiana 14%
Mississippi 11%
S. Carolina 26%
Texas 26%
Oklahoma 29%
Tennessee 34%
Kentucky 36%
Hey! Texas doesn’t look so bad! But if you do it by MAP you can see how racial tolerance or acceptance or whatever you want to call it dissipates as one moves North and West. The epicenter of white racism still seems to be the Birmingham / Jackson nexus. The Texas population of 37% Hispanic (considered white) helps it seem a lot less racist than it is.
But we could turn that list around to how many whites in each state voted against Obama compared to the national average of 56%.
Alabama 90%
Arkansas 70%
Georgia 77%
Louisiana 86%
Mississippi 89%
S. Carolina 74%
Texas 74%
Oklahoma 29%
Tennessee 34%
Kentucky 36%
