Sympathy for the Devil, 1968 rehearsal to 2013 live, Rolling Stones

rolling stones sympathy rehersalI admit to being a fan of that basic no nonsense rock and roll. Over the years I have found myself a dozen or so times each in the front few rows of concerts by the Rolling Stones, ZZ Top and ACDC. The common denominator of course being the R in R&B.

This 1968 rehearsal of Sympathy for the Devil tells the story of a rock and roll classic being born. How it goes from not much of anything to suddenly coming alive the very moment the rhythm arrives.
