Mark Meckler the Energizer Bunny of Tea Party protests, had a dramatic one planned for today! Told to storm the halls where the senators hide from him, his troops were told to give a dynamic, dramatic demonstration of a typical government run facility. Thousands would lie or sit in the halls moaning for hours upon hours waiting to "see their doctor." More unfortunates would expire in the very same
hallways, the senators could not miss them as they stepped over ‘the suffering’ on their way to meetings. Brilliant! How could they miss the message.
So this is what it’s like in the 36 countries which top the United States in health care?
I suspect some of the Tea Party people must be starting to wonder why they’re protesting the public option that they’ve already helped sink, the one they were told was socialism. Perhaps Mark Meckler is truly a frustrated little theater actor craving the spotlight? One thing is certain, no solutions come
from that camp, only protests, bloated accounts of turn-out, and the all-important media attention. While fun and games for Meckler, it’s truly a crime by those without conscience or concern for a solution when 45,000 Americans die each year for lack of health care, and many thousands more suffer. Whether the party crowd today thought that deeply or not, the halls were free of the suffering Meckler had
directed. Instead, the intended patients were feeling much better now, thank you, seen sitting at tables enjoying the hospitality of a festive party atmosphere.
