Seth Meyers has a couple things to say about Ted Cruz’s allegations that Donald Trump represents “New York values.” In the debate tonight, Ted Cruz thought he could secure the Iowa vote by tying Donald Trump to the wicked values of New York. If Cruz’s plan had worked, voters would identify Cruz with Sunday church, picnics and band concerts, and Trump with wicked big city ways. In fact, Cruz handed Trump a gift tied with a big bow. Now Cruz wears more mud on his face than he did on Duck Dynasty.
In this hilarious piece, Seth wonders if Trump truly is a great representative of New York city, and examines what it means to be a true New Yorker. It turns out that New York city values may have more to do with how you eat pizza and your relationship with an umbrella than with Times Square and Trump Tower.
