Marco Rubio sure is one thirsty guy.
As you will recall it was not so long ago that Senator Marco Rubio led the pack as a GOP candidate for president in 2016. Thirstiness aside, he soon found himself behind Donald Trump in that endeavor. What did he do to fall from grace so fast?
Well, as an Hispanic he gave a bit of bolster to the Dream Act – allowing children of illegal immigrants who were brought here by their parents to not be deported to a country and culture they never knew – and pushed the idea that there should be some path to citizenship for the 10 million undocumented workers living here.
He soon realized his mistake suggesting such anti-Republican ideas and loudly changed his tune on both issues but has been unable to recover.
As we see in this video, he now better understands the primary politics of the GOP base. This is a clear reminder that to be a contender in Republican presidential politics being a heartless bigot is just not enough any longer, one also has promote and celebrate stupidity.
In defense of the GOP I have found this celebration of stupid crosses, racial, ethnic, religious and party lines, I see it so often in so many no matter the who or where. Scientists, professors, damn book writers, those who study a thing over their entire lives don’t know nothing. No one likes a smartypants.
Smart people got no reason
Smart people got no reason
Smart people got no reason
To live
They got great big brains
And little dicks
They run around
Acting like dickheads
They got their noses in the air
Lying through their teeth
With degrees on the wall
And sandals on their smarty pants feet
Well, I don’t want no smart people
Don’t want no smart people
Don’t want no smart people
`Round here
