Senator Larry Craig – after voting against protecting gays from hate crimes – got some bad news from Minnesota where a Judge ruled Larry was guilty as Larry had admitted he was guilty last June. This of course caused him to rescind his public pledge to leave the Senate. The Bathroom Boy is going to entertain us with gay bathroom jokes through the next election! I wonder if the GOP is taking this as well as the Democrats?
Senator Pete Domenci of New Mexico gave the GOP another kick in the pants today saying he will give up his seat because he is going nuts. Can’t take a nut to court for politicizing the Department of Justice!
Mayor John Manlove of Pasadena Texas (which is up the street a few blocks) has decided to run for the GOP nomination for Tom DeLay’s old seat presently held by Nick Lampson. This is my district by the way. It looks like a race between Manlove and Shelley Sekula-Gibbs. Gibbs you will remember – who because of the DeLay delay – got to be a congresswoman for two months showing the world that she was not only an idiot but had all the makings of the next Leona Helmsley. Manlove began his campaign with his announcement today that began, "After much prayer…" that right there got him 45% of the vote here. We have a choice between a Jesus backed idiot with the worst imaginable Republican name and a Jesus backed stupid nastyass woman. With Tom DeLay’s 70% wins in this district over the years the winner will be either Manlove or a witch.
2 Men found dead in backseat of car – A Houston Chronicle headline we see something like everyday here in Dumbass. We know of course that the perpetrators were gun owners, but I want the Chron to let us know if the victims were gun owners too. We know that 100% of all murders are committed by gun owners, but what about the victims? How many of them are gun owners?
The Dream Act is a bill helping children of illegal immigrants get college educations (as they are not guilty of anything, they were brought here). A minority of Republicans in the Senate have used parliamentary mumbo jumbo to get it off the table. The last thing the GOP needs are more smart Mexicans. They used to be able to get the wealthy Hispanic vote, but since Lou Dobbs, Tom Trancedo, Virgil Goode and the RNC, even Hispanics with GOP tattooed on their asses now know what this is all about. Rule of law, national security and depressed wages mi rumpo! I want to give the Republican leaning Houston Chronicle credit on this issue, they have consistently called into question the draconian immigrant measures of the GOP most everyday.
Neocon Charles Krauthhammer wrote a column today about French President Nicolas Sarkozy giving a speech at the UN saying a nuclear Iran was unacceptable to France. Sourkrauthammer used that and a few other issues to push for the Neocon pre-emptive invasion of Iran. Losing two wars at once while running out of roadside bomb fodder and money, logic would follow that we now start a war with the biggest strongest one of the bunch! What’s interesting about this is these Neocons no longer hide their thirst for World War III behind political semantics like Crazy Newt Gingrich does. Let’s get at it today! Of course not one of these Neocons ever served a friggin day in military service or risked their lives for any damn thing.
