Jimmy Fallon observes that we have become familiar with a wide range of the expressions President Obama shows to the world…And – sigh, to the House and Congress as well. How the President has avoided revealing a face to those two groups, normally reserved for Bo when he relieves himself on The President’s slippers, is beyond me.
In six years, I have never caught the President in mid-eye roll. This alone, tells me the man has tremendous self-control. For that reason alone, we should trust him implicitly with ‘the button’ and with the drone program. .
Of course we’ve all seen what Jimmy Fallon refers to as Obama’s “Determined yet Hopeful” expression. This one could double for “Two more years, and then I’m outta here” or for any stoic thought he’s disguising. We’ve seen playfulness and love on his face, and a few others that are more challenging to define. Jimmy labels one priceless shot ‘The Photobama.’ What’s up with the ‘Sup Girl?’ ‘Give Daddy Some Sugar?’ Oh, and who could forget the musical montage, “Oh Oh Oh, The Right Stuff, Baby!” Quite possibly, we could – but you must see it first.
We have also witnessed the face of extreme patience. The President explains simple concepts such as the Health Care Act thousands of times, to those who believe they already know about forced euthanasia and mandatory abortions, thanks very much! Despite the push-back, he remains patient, without a trace of Key & Peele’s creation “Luther the Anger Translator.”
I suspect that he will pop one day and let fly a barrage of abuse that will dwarf that of a demon possessed Tourette Syndrome patient…But until then, Jimmy has collected some charming photos of Obama’s expressions.
