God is Great!
A Pakistani woman, who was three months’ pregnant, was beaten to death with bricks by members of her own family yesterday for marrying the man of her choice.
Farzana Iqbal, 25, was attacked outside Lahore High Court by more than two dozen people, including her brother and father, senior investigator Rana Akhtar told media.
She had been due in court to defend her new husband against allegations, made by her family, that he had kidnapped her and forced her to marry him.
Up to 30 people attacked her, Mr Akhtar said.
“The brother first opened fire with a gun but missed. She tried to run away but fell down,” the investigator said.
“The relatives caught her and then beat her to death with bricks.”
This is a traditional family matter. As this was not a government sanctioned stoning as in many religious nations, the father who murdered his daughter has been taken into custody and is expected to be given a stern talking to. Our allies in Afghanistan have just reinstated the public stoning of women who are errant. And the most recent popular stoning of a woman came from our rebel allies in Syria.
Here in America we are far more civilized, we just have Republican Rush Limbaugh call our errant women sluts. So please, take a bow for American Christian tolerance.
In Tennessee they are reinstating the electric chair. Other states are reverting to the gas chamber and hanging as chemicals and brownouts can deter a well planned Christian execution.
What can go wrong with a rock I ask you?
Low tech answer to traditional religious values. Though from what I saw Googling this morning there does not seem to be much of a problem with stones too big. Bricks work well for the up close and personal executions in God’s name.
So perhaps it is time for Americans to revisit our execution chambers. I am sure there would be no shortage of Republicans volunteering for a stoning job here in Huntsville. We could raffle stone throwing spots to pay for the clean up and with the left over money, give everyone in Texas a free college education.
But you know, the ways and means are not important, what is important is getting the job done for the glory of God, Mohammad and Jesus. Especially Jesus who can relate to a good execution.
