Seth Meyers takes a closer look at Donald Trump’s speech on the final night of the Republican National Convention, where Trump’s climactic speech painted a dystopian country rife with death, destruction, crime, terrorism and weakness, oh my!
Apparently delegates made their way through airports like those in third-world countries. They drove over crumbling bridges, and drove pitted roads while dodging hordes of illegal immigrants and zombies. By now, you know that the only guy who can fix it all, is a political outsider. He’s someone who has failed at running casinos, he’s picked the pockets of veterans, and run crooked seminars and schools that prey on the working poor. All of this, and yet he is ‘The Voice of the People!” Actually he is, if for no other reason than you can’t – not hear that voice in your head.
Seth covers all of the important points and events with humor which I desperately need! Seth also points out that Trump did an interview with the New York Times, that I feel should be required reading. Most answers were extremely long and incomprehensible, as if he could ‘baffle ’em with bullpoop’ until they dozed off. The following was a rare, brief answer.
NYT: “Would you support the development of cyber-weapons?”
Trump: “Yes, I’m a fan of the future and cyber is the future.”
It is daring to assume that we even have a future if this screaming Cheeto is elected.
