On July 4, 1776, Gilfred Drumpf – an ancestor of Donald Trump gives a speech to his fellow delegates pushing for a better deal with the British. The history books do not mention Drumpf, nor do they recall how he tried to save a young nation with ‘losers’ like Jackson and Franklin at the helm.
The fledgling nation was forced to limp along without Trump and his superior deal-making, his esteem with “the blacks” or his large hands, after scoring Trump as a “blustering blowhard.” History does repeat itself. We can hope that 2016 is one of those times. Of course, it’s a good idea to cast a ballot while hoping – for good luck.
With Trump’s help in 1776, ‘make America Great Britain Again’ could have been more than a dream.
