In the hilarious Comedy Central hit ‘The President Show’ ‘Trump’ needs to lawyer up, and utilizes his ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ format to audition several high profile attorneys to find the one who can best come to his defense between: Gloria Allred, Alan Dershowitz, Ron Kuby and Gilbert Godfrey .
The actor who plays Trump is very good at being bad; but the attorneys are themselves, which can make for emotional reactions. Allred – who is now representing someone in a case against Trump emphasizes this question: “Have you ever heard the words obstruction of justice and impeachable offense?!!
Trump asks the kind of questions to screen the applicants that you’d expect, inquiring of Dershowitz; “How Jewie are you?” Ron Kuby, or ‘the hippie’ is first asked: “You’ve defended con artists, foreign agents and mobsters….But have you ever done all three?”
The winning candidate, Gilbert Godfrey protests; “But – I’m not a real lawyer.” ‘Trump’ cheerfully responds: “That’s okay, I’m not a real president!” If only the ‘real’ Trump had this much insight!
