Seth Meyers takes a closer look at Donald Trump’s first 100 days in office as he and Congress face an imminent government shutdown deadline. Trump set an arbitrary 100 day deadline for a number of questionable campaign promises that he has failed to deliver. The Trumpidiocity will not be a total flop. Trump has a little something special planned for the one-hundredth day that will make all good Americans forget their petty concerns about deportation and health care. The plan is revealed below, and I must say, it also lends credence to my gut feeling that we’re all bit players in Trump’s imaginary reality show.
A Trump staffer tipped Trump’s hand as he enthused to The New Yorker:
“Next week is going to have quite high drama..It’s going to be action-packed trust me. It’s going to be the battle of the titans. And the great irony here is that the call for the government shutdown will come on – guess what? The hundredth day! If you pitched this in a studio, they would say, ‘Get out of here, it’s too ridiculous.’ This is going to be a big one.”
SETH: We’ve all be saying ‘Get out of here it’s too ridiculous’ for two years, yet – here he is.”
Even Sean Spicer’s job depends on the ratings he delivers. Sean Meyer’s closer look at Trump’s one hundred days just may make you feel better – and that’s pretty ‘super-duper!’
