You know, perhaps this GOP coming takeover of the House will be the best thing that ever happened to Democrats and America. There are about 100 of these unhinged Tea Party nutjobs who are going to be all all over the Well shouting their crap to the CSPAN cameras for two years. One thing is sure, it will be a real boon for Obama in 2012.
And you know, this Tea Party business is nothing new. It is the same Right-wing fringe group that has been screeching their crap for decades. There was the John Birch Society, the Moral Majority, the Religious Right and the Contract on America. There is nothing NEW about any of this other than the excessive anger this time which is mostly about them coming to realize this may very well be their last stand.
I keep hearing that the underlying issue in this election going to Republicans is that the voters have come to understand this is no regular recession, that the jobs lost are lost forever and unemployment will only get worse.
So Americans see the answer to this new institutionalized real unemployment rate hovering toward 20% is to hand over the government to the Republicans who they know will push to reduce the minimum wage, halt unemployment checks, repeal health care reform, end pensions, destroy Social Security, cut Medicare and Medicaid and put an end to public education so we have to pay for it ourselves. Here in the United States of Duh.
