George Bush may have blundered into some propitious timing. Democrats are a bit nervous at the prospect of losing some seats in the 2010 mid-term elections. Curious George’s book
promo may act to soothe their fears better than a Valium cocktail. After all, GWB will be on a promotional tour of his book,"Decision Points", just when voters are gearing up to vote
on November second.
What,,,,why worry? The past president with the 22% approval rating seems to feel that the 14 "decision points" in his eight years of unprecedented financial indebtedness and war-mongering make a great basis for his memoirs…a sort of "Profiles in Courage" by Jack Kennedy. I’m told there are 14 highlights including: Katrina, (The Bush/FEMA response), The Deficit…(is he kidding)? The ever-sketchy 2000 election, Iran and Afghanistan.
If the other topics are as shiny as these bright points, the election should be sewn up for the Dems and tied with a ribbon! One can only imagine the other topics. Perhaps they include: Dick Cheney war profiteering, 9/11 and My Pet Goat, vanishing WMD’s. How I deftly dodged service without evading the draft. Torture – hell yes! Union busting, the Patriot Act, you won’t miss your rights, the terror alert is orange today!
Oh, and "I know the German Chancellor babe loved those shoulder rubs." That’s diplomacy buddy!
