Whoo hoo! It’s the "conservative Woodstock," and The Showdown in Searchlight at High Noon, held in the tiny Nevada home town of Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. "He’s got to go!" That was the rallying cry of Sarah Palin who has been called the "rock star" of the event, so don’t expect the new Jimmy Hendrix or similar palatte cleansers. Reid expressed the appreciation of the town of 700 people, saying the boost to the economy was welcome, and encouraging their right to free speech. Sarah Palin and Ann Coulter are both booked for the event, with strategy forums and such luminaries as Victoria Jackson and Breitbart planned in-between. Palin’s speech was full of irony, at one point, bragging she didn’t need a teleprompter while desperately clutching her sheaf of paper notes in gusty winds. Perhaps the pages were out of order. Again asking "How’s that hopey changey thing workin’out?" Palin followed immediately with "They’re all on crack, so many Americans are taking our meds, and asking what’s going on." I believe that is apparent! The Tea Party tour is to include 44 cities and wind up in Washington D.C. on April 15th, the income tax deadline.
One of the highlights was to be the introduction of Harry Reid’s Tea Party/Republican replacement Scott Ashjian. Fox News has announced that his candidacy has been pulled due to his failure to attend enough Teabagger functions. In fact, Ashjian has a warrant waiting for him on Monday, for felony theft and bad check charges in Las Vegas that allege he bounced a $5,000 business check last year. Perhaps Victoria Jackson is available for the position? We know she’s taking her meds.
